Our team combines generations of knowledge and experience in ultrasound, metallurgy, manufacturing technology and packaging with superior customer interaction and support to facilitate optimal ultrasound non-destructive testing throughout the world.
Founder Gene Larson has developed 36 couplants – 29 industrial and seven medical – since launching his career in Pennsylvania in 1964. Introductions to the non-destructive testing industry include high temperature couplants, powder UT couplant, NDT couplants, AUT fluid couplants, and more.
Gene has been awarded a total of 10 patents in the U.S., China and the European Union.
Peg Larson, head of international sales and finance at Echo Ultrasonics, has worked in the NDT industry for decades. From 1988 to 2008, she owned Sonotech, which was the largest ultrasonic testing couplant manufacturer in the world.
After being immersed in the non-destructive testing industry since early childhood, Marian Larson joined Echo Ultrasonics in 2013 as the director of marketing and business development. She has been directly involved in ultrasound since the late 1980s, having attended the ultrasound program at Thomas Jefferson University after graduating from Penn State University.
In 2015, Emily Larson-Rutter, who has been with the company since 2013, used her strong organizational and management skills – developed during a previous career in education – to help Echo Ultrasonics become the first manufacturer in NDT ultrasound to achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification.
Today, with an experienced team and Gene’s drive to continually improve NDT couplants on the market, Echo Ultrasonics is a global leader in couplant research and development. Our ultrasonic couplants, manufactured at our plant in Bellingham, WA, optimize performance, improve the chemical safety profile, increase operating limits and help protect the health and safety of the end user.
